Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit, Teaching Hospital, Karapitiya is the main service center which provides child and Adolescent Psychiatric services to the Southern Province. More than 3,500 children per year are being treated at this facility with ongoing support and follow up. OC Lions Foundation funded and coordinated construction and commissioned a child friendly shelter for the speech therapy and occupational therapy activities, a much-needed space for this facility.
